Donate goods to Emmaus Mossley

Emmaus Mossley is able to carry out collections of larger items and accept drop-off donations during our opening hours.

We have a number of safety measures and processes in place to protect our team and all visitors. Before dropping off donated items, please watch the short film below, check what items we can or cannot accept, follow the guidance on-site and be patient.

One very important way in which you can help Emmaus Mossley is to donate goods that we can then sell. All the proceeds raised from your donated items will go directly to support formerly homeless people at the Emmaus Mossley community.

We rely on your continued support and kind donations to keep us going and always do our utmost to sell, recycle or otherwise get an income from everything you gift us.

If you are donating furniture then please request and take the time to complete a Gift Aid form to increase the value of your donation.

We are happy to accept most household items but there are some exceptions for either legal or practical reasons. This includes soft furnishings without a fire label, safety items, baby equipment or any item that is not in a good, saleable condition. Where possible, we prefer items for donation to be brought to the Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore. Follow the signs in the yard or speak to a member of our team to find out where to donate goods.

If you have large items of furniture that you would like to donate to Emmaus Mossley but cannot drop them off, we offer a free collection service in the local area.

Based on the latest Covid-19 guidance to charity shops, we have updated our processes and risk assessments. We are unable to collect items from any household with someone showing symptoms of Covid-19 or self-isolating.

It is always at the drivers discretion if an item can be collected or not, based on the quality of the goods and the level of risk to our collection team.
