If you’re in need of some affordable furniture, searching for a stylish statement piece or just want to enjoy a good charity shop rummage, Emmaus Bolton is the place to come. Our main shopping area at Derby Barracks is the Drill Hall Shop which stocks furniture, upcycled items, kitchen appliances, clothes, as well as children’s toys and books.
We stock a wide range of second-hand furniture including sofas, lounge chairs, three piece suites, dining tables and chairs, cabinets, sideboards, shelves and units. We always have a good selection of bedroom furniture including dressing tables, wardrobes, sets of drawers, bed frames, bunk-beds, mattresses and brand-new beds.
Our selection of second-hand furniture and brand-new goods changes all the time. You never know what you’ll find from one visit to the next. Keep an eye out for our latest upcycled furniture, quality handmade furniture and other bespoke items created by our companions.
Within our Drill Hall Shop you will also find great value brand-new white-goods including washing machines, fridge freezers and cookers. For those planning a DIY project, we also stock recycled and reclaimed paint in a wide range of colours.
Emmaus Bolton offers a local delivery service on all purchases of furniture and white-goods.
After browsing in our Drill Hall Shop, visitors usually walk over to continue shopping in The Cottages and Garden Centre or relax in our Cafe and community gardens.
Your purchases make a difference
Our Emmaus Bolton charity shops and social enterprise is all about giving people and items a new lease of life. We collect and receive items, carry out minor refurbishment if required, and sell them in our shops. Not only does this stop hundreds of tonnes going to landfill, it also provides our customers with affordable and sometimes unique items for their homes.
Most importantly, funds raised from the sale of items, are used to support 22 formerly homeless people who now live in our Emmaus Bolton community. Your purchases and donations really do make a difference to the lives of others.

Emmaus Bolton is located within Derby Barracks, just off Fletcher Street. The postcode for SatNav is BL3 6NF. When you turn into our Derby Barracks site off Fletcher Street you will find a large customer car-park. We have disabled parking spaces and step-free, disabled access throughout our site.
If you’re visiting us by public transport, regular buses (551, 551, 559, 582) run along Derby Street (A579). Use the University of Bolton bus stops and then on foot, turn onto Fletcher Street at the side of McDonald’s. Emmaus Bolton is only a 4 minute walk away.
